World Accreditation Day (WAD) is observed annually on 9 June to recognize and promote the value of accreditation across various industries worldwide. Established by the global accreditation community, this day highlights how technical competence and rigorous conformity assessment processes build confidence, facilitate international trade and ensure the safety and quality of products and services.
As an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory, Hiyoshi India participated in the webinar celebrating World Accreditation Day 2026, held on 9 June 2026 and organized by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL).
NABL is a constituent board of the Quality Council of India (QCI) and functions under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. The webinar provided valuable insights into the role of accreditation in strengthening quality infrastructure and promoting excellence across industries.
The theme for World Accreditation Day 2026 is “Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of Accreditation.” This theme emphasizes the critical role accreditation plays in fostering innovation, building stakeholder confidence and supporting sustainable development through reliable and competent conformity assessment services.
